Music at your fingertips
Sony launched its MusicStation platform based, Music Unlimited™ subscription service in 2010. Available across a vast range of Sony and non-Sony devices with features that include radio channels, ‘like’ buttons that help customise channels to users’ tastes, and options to create new channels based on favourite artists, Music Unlimited comes fully integrated with Sony’s global Entertainment Network from day one.
Accessible from a user’s PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Walkman, VAIO laptop, Blu-ray player, mobile phone, tablet, Bravia TV, home audio device, PC and Mac, Music Unlimited is available and synchronised across more device types than any other music service. Users have seamless access to over 30 million songs from major labels, leading independents and major publishers. When a user first signs up, the system scans their personal computer to discover songs and playlists, replicating them in the cloud to create a cloud library that syncs with their service no matter where they are.
Easy access to music in 19 countries
Completely free of advertising, the service employs a unique low cost ‘Access’ tier for streaming to PlayStations, PCs and Macs. For those wishing to access their music across a vast device range there is the ‘Premium’ subscription tier. There is also a range of free trial periods from 14 days to 60 days.
Music Unlimited is live in 19 territories, originally launching in the UK and Ireland, the service is also available in US, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The service most recently launched in Mexico in March and Brazil in May of 2013, with plans to expand and grow the success of the platform further in 2013 and beyond.
