Omnifone Ranks First in Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2012 Media and Entertainment Category
LONDON, 30 November, 2012: Omnifone, the business-to-business provider of global cloud-based digital music services, has been awarded first place in the media and entertainment category of the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA. Omnifone ranked 36th in the overall league table, one of just six UK companies in the top 40.
The accolade follows Omnifone’s success at the 2012 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 where it ranked fourth. Earlier this year Omnifone also ranked 20th in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.
Omnifone was recognised in the overall EMEA-wide league table in recognition of its most successful financial year to date after turning a profit of £3.8 million (EBITDA). Omnifone achieved a 2857 per cent increase in revenue over the past five years and sales in the last financial year amounted to £29.5 million.
Jeff Hughes, Omnifone’s CEO, credits the recent growth to the roll out of global subscription-based streaming services on behalf of customers, driven by the consumer demand to access digital music anywhere, anytime.
